Welcome back

Sorry to have been away so long, life intervened. I have been planning a conference, dealing with home matters, suffering from a nasty winter cold. On the food history front, research into cafeterias is nearly complete as is writing. Ice cream parlors is lagging behind but there, too, writing has commenced. Any information about the history of ice cream parlors, especially in Italy, would be welcome. On the sewing front, I have acquired two new machines, or rather two old machines. A centennial Singer featherweight and a 1950 Singer 99. Both need a bit of TLC before they will be up and sewing. Right now I have little time for them. I have a few projects lined up–a pencil skirt from Gertie’s book, a Melford Messenger from Charlie’s Aunt (meant as a birthday gift, I will probably miss the boat on that one). I have completed a couple of knitting projects and am still working on others.

I will be back with you regularly soon!
